We are excited to welcome Fred Biancardi to our lab as a Staff Research Associate!

Fred earned his B.S. in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he built a strong foundation in genome sequencing, statistical data analysis, and molecular biology. Alongside his academic training, he worked as an audio-visual technician and pursued a career as an independent musician, blending scientific curiosity with creativity.

At UCSF, Fred will be expanding his skills in molecular cloning, genome assembly, and transgenic mouse model work as he supports research projects focused on aging biology. We are thrilled to have him join our team!
